Between if and then is a chance to change everything, but only if you want things to change. Find out how God injects His power into human history so that the way it has been doesn’t become the way it will always be.

Continuing our walk through the book of Exodus, the title of the message from chapters 9 & 10 is GOD MAKES A DIFFERENCE.

MORE LIGHT; LESS SHADE

You know what “throwing shade” is, right?

It’s when someone indirectly or passive aggressively questions the worth of someone’s actions, decisions, or presence. Some people make throwing shade a hobby, even a profession, but what can you do when the shade is so heavy that you no longer see the light? The answer is found in the Beatitudes of Matthew chapter 5.

The title of the message is MORE LIGHT; LESS SHADE.

BIBLE STUDY ON NUMBERS 21
Clean

“So. We’re doing this again?”

That’s pretty much what God was thinking about every other chapter in the book of Numbers. Far from boring, our discussions on Numbers has been a fascinating breakdown of how carefully God spent over a year preparing newly emancipated slaves to enter the Promised Land, and how they screwed it all up ---- repeatedly. The lessons have been funny at times, and deeply convicting as we see how much we make the same mistakes that the Jews did over 3,000 years ago.

This session brings us up to chapter 21. There are rocky water fountains and fiery serpents, poor decisions and the death of a beloved figure.

POWER AND PURPOSE OF A PRAYING MOTHER

Scripture is filled with the true, complicated stories of blended and broken families in the midst of corrupted cultures and unsafe communities. Through these stories, the Bible shows how things can change for the better. God shows how His people can produce leaders who turn the hearts of their communities back toward the Kingdom.

Today we look at two of those stories: Samuel in the Old Testament and Timothy in the New Testament. From their lives, we learn how women of God have always played a crucial role in the Kingdom will of God.

Today we consider THE PURPOSE & POWER OF A PRAYING MOTHER.

STUBBLE INSTEAD OF STRAW: GOD DOING MORE WITH OUR LESS

Have you ever had to do more with less?

Between when God declares a prophetic promise and the moment when that promise is fully realized there comes a period when things get worse instead of better, a season when God’s people are forced to do more with less.

Exodus chapters 5 and 6 shows how God uses the season of less to bring His people more --- much, much more.

The message is called: STUBBLE INSTEAD OF STRAW: GOD DOING MORE WITH OUR LESS .

THE PURPOSE & PROCESS OF POWER

In the space of one chapter, the number of trained, qualified, anointed, engaged leaders multiplied 7 fold. Think about what your church cold accomplish with 7 times more powerful leaders engaged, united, and committed to the work of Jesus Christ. If only there were a process for producing that kind of growth.

There is.

In this detailed lesson originally delivered for Empowerment Week at Wesley Chapel CME church, we see how Jesus multiplied the power of leadership in his ministry and learn the steps to doing the same in the ministries of Jesus Christ where we serve.

The message is called: THE PURPOSE & PROCESS OF POWER .

The 4 gospels record that Jesus uttered 7 statements from the cross. We call them His 7 Last Words. But they kinda weren’t.

Whatever you call it ---- Easter, Paschal, Holy Week, Resurrection Sunday ---- the message of the season isn’t about how things end, but about how they should begin. So here is a sermon about what happens: AFTER THE LAST WORDS.
