SPIRITUAL CALLER I. D.
Clean

God did not originally deliver the Ten Commandments on stone tablets through His spokesman Moses. The first transmission of the Ten Commandments was more spectacular, more public, and more ---- personal. So personal that the Commandments were more than a list of behaviors, more than the foundation for morality, ethics, and law.

Understand the Ten Commandments in a new way. See that the 10 most repeated rules in history were first a means of Divine communication, the way that the God of the Bible distinguished Himself from every other spiritual and religious entity.

The title of this message, from Exodus chapter 20, is: SPIRITUAL CALLER I. D.

THE POWER OF REPETITION

Sunday to next Sunday. Bible study to next Bible study. A book full of beautiful words that have been quoted so often that everything sounds like a cliché. Let’s be honest. Christianity can sometimes feel repetitive.

But maybe that’s not such a bad thing.

There was this time in the Old Testament when God decided to have church. The Lord even personally preached the sermon, but it was the way God organized the service. God demonstrated how repetition can be a glorious spiritual tool.

So, the title of this message is: THE POWER OF REPETITION

THE REASON WHY WE SING

After the Red Sea, there was a song.

In Exodus 15, Moses sang first hymn in the Judeo-Christian tradition, a song-psalm we seldom reference but through which God speaks to us about legacy and worship and the prophetic power of praise.

We continue the preaching series on Exodus with a sermon about the first freestyle and the first praise dance in the history of our faith.

NO TAKEBACKS
Clean

One step forward, two steps back. Why?

Why is that every time you start making progress something happens to try to take you back down? More importantly, how do you overcome the cycle.

The story of Moses and the children of Israel crossing the Red Sea is a case study in this phenomenon. The interaction between Moses, Pharaoh, the Israelites, and God at the Red Sea shows why we get taken those 2 steps back, and how we can overcome and keep moving forward.

The message is titled: NO TAKEBACKS.
